Our Family Crest

                  This Website is the result of a conversation at the 2006 Family Reunion between Tanya Barnes, Kimothy Bryant and Tammy Jones. It was noted that our family was becoming bigger and stretched out throughout the country and the globe. With this spreading out of our family it seemed that we would lose contact with our family as well as keep up with events. At the 2007 Family Reunion the Britton Myers McWhite Family Website was introduced and given its blessing by the Family.

 
                 This Website will serve two purposes. The first one will be to keep track of family events. Especially the main event, The Family Reunion. The second purpose of this web page is to become a resource for our Family history. This is very important because it gives us a central database of information.

Sarah saw a need to gather the family together so she called to order and established a day to be  known as "Family and Friends Day". She worked so hard to get this message across to all relatives and friends.

Those of us who were present that June of 1978, supported this family dinner at Cherry's Barbeque and the worship service that Sunday morning with the Faith Temple UHC of Wilson, North Carolina. The keynote speaker for this first reunion service was the Rev. John Henry Cotton - grandson of Emma and Wadis Britton, of Wrens, Georgia.

(1) Must be a direct descendant of the Britton, Myers and McWhite family

(2) Must have attended at least 5 reunion gatherings

(3) Must be in attendance during family reunion prior to the year you wish to host the reunion
